Volunteer Board Member:

Tell Every Amazing Lady® also known as T.E.A.L.®,  is a grassroots 501C3 not for profit organization in Brooklyn, NY. T.E.A.L.® is looking to elect a new volunteer member to our Board of Directors who believes in our mission and is willing to be active in their governance role. The candidate must be willing to use their time, talent and energy to support T.E.A.L.®’s vision. We are a very active and engaged Board with a hands-on group of committed individuals and are looking to add individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Hours are flexible, we will work with you.  T.E.A.L.® is entering a challenging yet exciting time as we are rapidly growing and need help professionalizing our board by evolving from a grassroots origin.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for, attend and actively participate in monthly board meetings
  • Serve on and actively participate in at least one T.E.A.L.® committee
  • Committee meeting attendance may be in person or via telephone conference call
  • As a board member, we ask that T.E.A.L.®  be one of your top three annual beneficiaries

Freelance Special Events Manager:

Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer Louisa M. McGregor Ovarian Cancer Foundation also known as T.E.A.L. ® is a grassroots 501C3 not for profit organization located in Brooklyn, NY. T.E.A.L.® is searching for a talented seasonal FREELANCE Special Events Manager to help manage premier annual outdoor events with thousands of attendees and hundreds of volunteers. We’re seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual with at least 5 years of experience in event management. Individual must have industry knowledge and strong consultative skills with a focus on customer service and production. Looking to build a strong relationship with candidate to serve as the main point of contact between outside special event partners and T.E.A.L.®. Compensation commensurate with experience. Room for advancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with CEO during pre-production, production and post production stages of annual events
  • Help develop and provide input into event plans
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are being kept between partners and organization
  • Manage execution of the events strategy such as event plan development: budgeting, logistics, program details and agenda
  • Ensure all fundraising events meet financial objectives and appropriately represent the Foundation to the donor community
  • Tasks and responsibilities may vary but candidate would help ensure a successful event
  • Transport event materials and equipment as needed
  • Recruit, train, and supervise event volunteers.
  • Possible Travel

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years in large scale event planning
  • Flexible hours (August/September availability a must)
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities within tight deadlines

Freelance Program Manager:

Tell Every Amazing Lady®, a 501C3 not for profit organization located in Brooklyn, NY is searching for a freelance program manager to assist with developing new programs and expanding their existing programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and assess in development and implementation of existing programs
  • Shares best practices and lessons learned across programs and projects
  • Plan, manage and lead projects and programs across multiple disciplines as necessary
  • Direct the functions and activities of the team to build, maintain, and motivate highly effective teams.
  • Set up a process for measuring and reporting program outcomes
  • Schedule and help implement an annual program calendar.
  • Provide administrative, financial, and operational oversight for all aspects of programs
  • Collaborate with the CEO on all aspects of program development and management.
  • Access collaboration with partner institutions to carry out Cancer Program activities.
  • Strengthen, execute and evaluate relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Rigorously track outreach activities and report on key performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree is a minimum requirement. A terminal degree is preferred (Ph.D. or D.M.A.)
  • Minimum 2 years in non-profit program management
  • Must possess advanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of project management methodologies and tools, project/program, financial management and resource management practices
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills

Part Time Program Manager:

T.E.A.L.® is searching for a part time program manager to assist with developing new programs and expanding our existing programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and assess in development and implementation of existing programs
  • Help improve programs, outreach, and workshops
  • To oversee cancer program activities, make sure work plans are carried out in a timely manner, deliverables are met on time
  • Collaborate with partner institutions to carry out Cancer Program activities.
  • Strengthen, execute and monitor relevant international policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Sensitively handle confidential information
  • Measure and report on program outcomes
  • Rigorously track outreach activities and report on key performance metrics.
  • Represent the campaign at public events and settings.
  • Develop program materials, maintain relationships with nonprofit partners, and represent the organization at community meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field

Grant Writer:

We are seeking candidates for our Freelance Grant Writer position for our growing foundation. We are looking for someone with experience to write,review, finalize and submit appropriate applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, edits and coordinates written proposals and applications to prospective and current funding sources
  • Help maintain a master calendar for all proposal/grant activity, to include submitted proposals and grant requests and track all prospects.
  • Work with CEO to conceptualize, develop, and implement strategies and craft pitches to fit funders’ goals and requirements.
  • Work with colleagues throughout the organization to gather information and data for proposals and reports, and develop content for proposals and program budgets.
  • Prepare and review budgets in Excel.
  • Assist in the post grant submission period for feedback on submitted proposals.
  • Serves as communication liaison between T.E.A.L.® and funders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field.
  • 3-5 years of writing experience in a capacity that emphasizes proposal writing, grant writing, technical writing, and business development or fundraising
  • Strong proofreading skills
  • Must be able to provide references
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret budgets and financial reports and to convey information in narrative form as well as numerically
  • Strong ability to organize and prioritize tasks to balance assigned responsibilities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines for grant writing projects
  • Ability to communicate with diverse audiences, and to know the appropriate communication method for the given audience
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Google Docs, and searching online databases

Volunteer Georgia T.E.A.L.® Student Ambassador

Tell Every Amazing Lady®, a 501C3 not for profit organization located in Brooklyn, NY is searching for a college student to help fulfill the organization’s mission. Able to offer internship/community service hours as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with communities in Georgia, beginning within their already existing relationships and expand through targeted partnerships with other schools, community groups & organizations, businesses, and medical centers to promote T.E.A.L.®’s mission of Women’s Health Awareness with an ovarian cancer focus
  • Help T.E.A.L.® with fulfilling mission of spreading awareness about ovarian cancer signs and symptoms
  • Create awareness building activities
  • Help circulate T.E.A.L.®’s printed and digital educational materials
  • Collaborate with T.E.A.L.® staff / volunteers on new ideas and tasks
  • Weekly updates with CEO via phone/e-mail
  • Help out with outreach during community job fairs and affiliated colleges events

Qualifications:

  • Must currently live in the state of Georgia
  • Currently a full-time college student

Bookkeeper:

Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer Louisa M. McGregor Ovarian Cancer Foundation is seeking a part time Bookkeeper for their fast paced Windsor Terrace/Park Slope, Brooklyn office and community center. The bookkeeper reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for providing the support required to successfully manage the foundation’s bookkeeping including Quickbooks entries, reporting, tracking inventory, letter correspondence, budget tracking, and more.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Experience with Accrual Base Accounting
  • Strong Quickbooks Skills, Word and Excel
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of principles and practices of financial accounting, budgeting, reporting and banking for a non-profit or small business

Part Time Marketing Assistant:

A 501C3 not for profit organization located in Brooklyn, NY is searching for a part time marketing assistant to help assist our staff and volunteers with many production projects throughout the year that help us tell every amazing lady about ovarian cancer. Projects include creating educational materials, public service announcements, website images, ad campaigns and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Help CEO with digital projects, printing, press kits, press releases and all types of marketing
  • Work with staff to identify potential brand collaborations
  • Offer creative advice and join in on brainstorming with the team
  • Assist with improving  programs and campaigns that are already established

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
  • Editing/publishing experience
  • Fast and efficient with very strong attention to detail
  • Deadline driven
