T.E.A.L.® ties ribbons for National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

On August 22nd, members of T.E.A.L.® and Flatbush Avenue BID tied teal ribbons from national organization Turn the Towns Teal® on trees along Flatbush Avenue to raise awareness ahead of September’s National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. They also hung posters in businesses to explain the significance of the ribbons.

The same day, T.E.A.L.® was joined by obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Margaux Kanis of NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital — who was interviewed by NY1 News — and partnered with the Park Slope Fifth Avenue BID to hang ribbons along the thoroughfare.
