T.E.A.L.® takes over Coney Island with Cyclones game, award, and lighting

Members of T.E.A.L.® handed out awareness materials and pamphlets for the 11th Annual Brooklyn T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run at MCU Park in Coney Island on August 31st. T.E.A.L.® then stood on the field while a PSA about the foundation played, before T.E.A.L.® Youth Ambassador Kiara Carrion was honored with the Brooklyn Cyclones’ Winning Women Award for her tireless and extensive work in her community. She also got to throw out the first pitch.

T.E.A.L.® then gathered on the Coney Island Boardwalk, where they held a press conference calling on more to be done for ovarian cancer, and lit the Luna Park Parachute Jump the color teal.

The iconic monument was lit again on September 1st — the first day of National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month — as well as September 8th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 21st.
