This past Saturday, July 20th, we turned CitiField Stadium T.E.A.L.! The NY Mets helped us celebrate Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day. Not only did we receive a Spirit Award before the game but also had a huge turn out! Our section of the stadium, filled with supporters, was decked out in teal colors, banners, and accessories. One of our T.E.A.L. volunteers, Miss Staten Island Amanda Lee Alicea sang the national anthem. Amanda honored her mother who was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer while she was pregnant with her.
