T.E.A.L.® was honored to be a guest at the Marine Park Civic Association board meeting on November 21st, 2017. The meeting updated community leaders on what is going on in the area, and what to expect coming up in 2018. As an organization that had its start in Marine Park, with both of T.E.A.L.®’s co-founders Louisa and Pamela growing up in the neighborhood, it was a great opportunity to return to the place where it all started. T.E.A.L.® CEO Pamela Esposito-Amery gave a presentation about the work that T.E.A.L.® does throughout Brooklyn and beyond, focusing on the importance of family history and genetics and how it can sometimes play a role in the early detection of ovarian cancer.
