T.E.A.L. celebrated with survivors at the Survivors Rock party, sponsored by Maimonides Hospital on June 4th at the Fort Hamilton Army Base in Brooklyn New York. Cancer survivors enjoyed the beautiful day at the outdoor event which featured a BBQ buffet and performances by the rock band Mazel Tov Cocktail, a band comprised of a talented group of Maimonides doctors and cancer patients. At the event, awards and special recognition were given to outstanding patients and staff members, and Brooklyn Borough president Marty Markowitz made a short speech dedicated to the survivors and the cancer program at Maimonides hospital. T.E.A.L. representatives got a chance to mingle with survivors and show their support while spreading information about Ovarian Cancer, and our upcoming walk in Prospect Park.
