Since 2009 T.E.A.L.® has raised over $3 million to benefit groundbreaking ovarian cancer research and awareness programs with the help of our loyal donors, small office staff, and hundreds of amazing volunteers.
Creating global awareness for ovarian cancer, we not only have a large digital reach but, we’ve been honored to ring the NASDAQ opening bell and the New York Stock Exchange opening and closing bells.
Every year we expand our September Awareness Campaign during National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. T.E.A.L.® partners with local businesses and organizations to turn buildings and monuments the color teal.
The Brooklyn T.E.A.L.® Walk/ Run is the largest ovarian cancer walk in New York City and T.E.A.L.® Walk programs take place every September in cities around the country. In 2018 we saw thousands of people from ages 9 to 90 come out and support National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in Brooklyn, Upstate NY, Connecticut, and Georgia.
Established by T.E.A.L.® in 2012, Citi Field and the New York Mets partnered with T.E.A.L.® again in 2017 to host the 6th Annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness Night at Citifield. The stands were full of teal as over 500 supporters walked on the warning track with T.E.A.L.® supporters Yankees Manager, Joseph Girardi, Mets Manager, Terry Collins, and actor, Steve Buscemi helped raise awareness about ovarian cancer before the game.
The T.E.A.L® Community Center in Prospect Park hosts regular workshops for survivors, caregivers, and other family programs like Men of T.E.A.L®. We hosted our first webinar in 2017 and now offer virtual opportunities for anyone to get involved in our programming.
