A historical look at T.E.A.L.® in Savannah, GA

September 2023

In 2023, Victoria Jones, Chaplain and Philanthropy Committee Chairman of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Inc. Delta Omega, organized a coin war between the Class of 2025 and the Class of 2026. In order to earn points each class had to add pennies and dollar bills to a jar.

To defeat the opposing class, they added quarters, nickels, and dimes. For the losing class, the class advisor had to wear a squirrel costume. The picture above is Class of 2025 class advisor, Dr. Mackenzie Meier, along with some of the Kappa Psi brothers. The fundraiser raised over $275.

On September 8th, 2023, Victoria Jones, a student at South University, was interviewed by WSAV. Ms. Jones advertised and spoke about the upcoming 10th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk™, to be held in Savannah, GA on September 30th, 2023. It was a great opportunity to inform the community of Savannah about the upcoming walk, while also generally raising awareness about ovarian cancer and the services which T.E.A.L.® offers to those touched by the disease.

On October 23rd, 2023, the Walmart Foundation awarded Tell Every Amazing Lady® a $1,500 grant to help support T.E.A.L.®’s mission to spread awareness, and support survivors within the Savannah community. T.E.A.L.® representatives, Rachel and Victoria, went to Walmart on Abercorn St. to claim this check.
